Andrea King, MPH

Andrea works at the intersection of public health, technology, and innovation. She helps public sector and mission-aligned health organizations build the skills and systems they need to use AI and modern data tools effectively. Trained as an epidemiologist and data scientist, her career in public service with New York City and Washington State led her to create the PubHealthAI Collaborative Network, an increasingly international community of practice for responsible AI adoption in public health. With PubHealth Futures, Andrea leads OneHealthAI, a platform developed in partnership with Institute for Health Logistics and Analytics (IHLA) at Georgia Southern University. This platform applies AI across human, animal, and environmental health for zoonotic spillover surveillance and pandemic preparedness. She also partners with the WHO Regional Office for Africa on AI capacity building for public health emergency response. She is committed to making frontier technologies work for real people and real problems, especially in the public sector.
