Andrea King, MPH

Andrea King works at the intersection of public health, technology, and data innovation. She helps state, local, and tribal health departments build the skills and systems they need to use AI and modern data tools effectively. Trained as an epidemiologist and data scientist, Andrea has had a long career in public service, beginning at Columbia University, then New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She currently works with Washington Department of Health, and leads the PubHealthAI Collaborative Network, an international community of practice focused on responsible AI adoption in government public health. She’s passionate about making emerging technologies work for real people and real problems — especially in the public sector.
